Just some whinings...
I dunno since when this habit started but once in every 2, 3 months, I have the strong urge to spend lavishly, on luxurious goods. And this is bad. Really bad.
Curently sitting top on the list is a Gucci canvas tote and a Tiffany & Co Bracelet.
The tote cost $560 and bracelet $400+...
I know I shouldn't splurge so often. But temptation is strong.
Someone help me.............

Anyway, following the cab fare hike in February, now there is another diesel surcharge. Oh great. And this caught me by surprise. Took a cab to tuition on Thursday, and saw the meter started off at $2.80 and a extra charge of $0.30. I kept staring at the metre, assuming that the cabby uncle was trying to cheat me of my $0.30. Haha. When I paid for the fare, he included the $0.30. Indignant, I questioned what was the 30 cents for. He said is diesel surcharge. -_-"' Then I got reminded that I heard from dunno where that there will be this surcharge. Basket. In January whenever I took cab to my tuition, cab fare never exceed $3.50. After the hike it was $4, and now with the diesel charge it's $4.30. I have already told myself that I am going to be a tad hardworking to wake up earlier to take bus to tuition.
And I found out that only comfort cabs impose this charge. Why I so suay kanna comfort cab?
Then I was telling Wendy, that surely other cab companies will follow suit soon one. I was so right... SMRT cabs will impose the 30 cents starting this Saturday. Once the incumbent implement anything, the rest will sure follow. Let's see if diesel prices decrease, will the cab companies remove the diesel charge. I am waiting.
Bus fares and MRT fares are again on a rise soon. They never stop increasing. Every year at least increase once. I wonder, the increment is to cover increasing operating cost, or increase the profit margin? For other countries, any hikes will bring about riots or strikes. In Singapore, citizens will just whine whine and complain (me too) and LL accept it. So, riots and strikes do have their good and bad.
The other day tintin brought me to bugis for movie. We drove there and ERP charges totalled 3 bucks. I got a shock. One at ECP, one while entering bugis. One car easily can earn $3. Singapore government ver smart hor? Imagine how much they earn by collecting ERP? Their cost? Nil. Or probably at most the cost of setting up the gantry. And the number of ERP gantry keeps on adding. I saw on those circulating email, ERP stands for Every Road Pays. How ironic.
Nuff complaining and venting my anger at the increasing cost of living, Moving on the happier things. Bali in 4 more days! I endure for one more tues without my tintin, Wed night meet him for Mambo and stay over his place, Thurs go work and immediately off to Bali! Yay!! Our flight is at 6.20 in the morning. So 4 am have to reach airport. I think no need to sleep liao.
And, 16th July 208. Best Mambo since Yr 2008. I still miss the days where Zouk lights on at 3am, Summer rain at 2.30am. Now, wanna wait for those songs? After 3.13am. From 12am to 3.13 am? Fucked up. But of coz music so lousy by the time 2 plus buay tahan go for supper already. Gone were the times I enjoyed each Wed. Now I only complain how cannot make it the music is. And Tintin's detest for the fucked up music makes him forgo Mambo. He now only goes once a month. Like menses. Hahaha. Also gone were the days where he sacrifices his sleep and sometimes take leave just for Mambo. He says it's totally not worth it. Which I agree. Missing the old Mambo with all the combo hits.
